Registration

Only the candidates residing in the state of Himachal Pradesh are eligible for registration with HPSPC. Candidates are advised to go through the following sections carefully before applying for registration. Incomplete application forms would not be considered for registration. In addition, once the application is submitted you would not be allowed to edit, so enter the details carefully.

Keep the following ready before applying online

Once you have all the above in place, click on “Register now” and you would be directed to the registration page. Follow the instructions. After a successful registration, you would receive an automated email and SMS from council. Post this, you would be asked to come to the council office with the following original copies for further verification and finalization of registration process.

List of original copies to be brought to council office for verification

  • Class X/SSLC Certificate
  • Practical training certificate for diploma holders
  • Diploma/B. Pharm/Pharm D certificates
  • Course completion certificate
  • Affidavit stating that he/she is not registered with any other council
  • Declaration for B. Pharm holders registering with provisional degree certificate
  • Print out of acknowledgement from council

Online

In addition to the online, the council also provides option to register with the council through offline mode. For this, please click “Sign up” and follow the instruction, you would be able to download the application form after you have logged in to your profile. Just print that and submit with the necessary documents highlighted in the application form to the office. You must send the application through speed post, do not send any original certificate with speed post; you may be required to bring the same during verification. Transfer of registration

The council offers the benefits to pharmacists who are already registered with other pharmacy councils.

Renewal of registration

As per Pharmacy Act Section 34, all Pharmacist should renew their registration before 31st December every year. The entire process of registration renewal could be completed from the website by paying the stipulated fees and submitted the required documents. The renewal of registration could be done from the profile page. For this, the pharmacist has to log in to his/her profile and click on “Renewals”, in case the registration is due for renewal, it would be highlighted. Just click and follow the instructions

Additional qualification

A registered pharmacist can acquire higher qualification related to pharmacy and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. A certificate of additional qualification can be obtained from the council. Just log in to your profile and click on “Update qualification”, you would be prompted to submit the scanned copy of the following. Additional Qualification cannot be applied with Provisional Certificate.

Duplicate certificate

A lost/spoiled certificate should be immediately reported to the council from the profile page. A FIR copy or affidavit from the first-class judicial magistrate should be submitted to the council. The certificate thence issued would carry the word "DUPLICATE" and fees to be paid for the same.

Change of certificate

The old registration certificate issued by the HPSPC will be replaced with the new model high security certificate with hologram, as per the provisions in the Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council Rules. Registered pharmacists possessing the old format of pharmacy registration certificate can change their certificate to new format. The Council will issue high security certificate and identity card on the receipt of an application along with the old registration certificate and ID card in original with one passport size photo along with fees.

Identity card

The pharmacists who practice in the state of Himachal Pradesh should wear ID card issued by the HPSPC. This identity card can be received from the council by paying Rs.100/- Pharmacist can apply for ID card in a prescribed form. The validity of ID card will be 5 years. Check out the profile page and download the same. The download option would be enabled once the prescribed fees has been paid to the council.
